Skincare – Hado Labo Tokyo Review – Ulta
Hado Labo Tokyo has made it to the States!
Recently, I was reading some beauty blogs and I noticed there was some hype about Hado Labo Tokyo launching in at Ulta stores. They appears to be a very popular Japanese skincare brand. I had never tried any of their products and I thought I want to get my hands on some of these!
I purchased mine from Ulta.com.
They currently only offer 5 of the products from the line. All are fragrance-free!
The line is priced mid-range from $12-$25.
The packaging has been revamped for the US and looks quite different from the original Japanese products. I like how clean it looks, it’s compact and the packaging is very easy to use. The bottles comes with a pump top which makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product.
Background – I do tend to have very combination skin, half my face is normal to oily but my cheeks/nose are quite dry.
Hado Labo Hydrating Facial Cleanser $11.99 – 3.5 oz
The cleanser is a light cream to foam consistency. It’s very gentle on my skin but still leaves my skin feeling cleaner and more hydrated. I’ve been using this cleanser the past 2 weeks and I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s fragrance-free. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight at all. But I do still use a moisturizer after cleansing my face for added moisture. However I could see if you had oilier skin that cleanser would be enough. I totally recommend this!
Hado Labo Anti-aging Hydrator $17.99 – 1.7 oz
First off, I can’t tell you if the anti-aging properties are working because frankly I’m still quite young so I don’t see a difference. The hydrator is a clear water like gel. It’s fragrance- free and very fast absorbing. Depending on the day, I use it as a substitute for a moisturizer or before adding my moisturizer. It makes my face feel very soft.
Hado Labo Protecting Day Lotion with SPF 18 $17.99 – 1.7 oz
This day lotion is a light milky lotion and absorbs quickly into the skin. It does have a faint smell of SPF as it does contain SPF 18 otherwise this is fragrance-free. It’s a moisturizing lotion and feels light to the skin. I think this would be a great everyday facial moisturizer.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed everything I purchased from Hado Labo line. I like it so much I’m even thinking of buying some for my mother, who’s incredibly picky about her skincare. I loved the convenient pump packaging, the fast absorbing action of the products, fragrance-free and it does make my skin feel hydrated/soft. Even though, I have combination skin I didn’t feel that product made me oily. My favorite was the cleanser.
I highly recommend this line.
