My Fortune cookie told me so…

Recently my life has gotten quite a bit more social and I felt this fortune cookie was spot on!  I’ve gone to some wonderful meetups and be able to meet a bunch of new friends and bloggers. Also our dear friends and family have been able to take time to visit us in SF from all over the world. I do feel very blessed to be around such great company.  ^_^

Golden Kim tar Restaurant (Chinese) – 434 Larkin St, San Francisco CA
District – Tenderloin

Golden Kim tar is a Chinese restaurant and they provide takeout/delivery services. It’s not the best Chinese food nor is it the worst. It’s that kind of middle of road cuisine with no fuss. I wouldn’t write home about it but I’ve got a special spot for it. It’s my local restaurant that’s no-frills type of place, with affordable food, quick service, and the staff is friendly. I like coming here for lunch when I am working from home because they have great lunch special. I think I paid around $10 with tip for the meal, what a bargain!
(for a place not in Chinatown but still in SF)

Eggplant with vegetables

If you know me, you know that I can’t say no to eggplant. I love the texture and flavor of Chinese eggplant. It’s sure filled with oil so I can’t have it to often and I never cook it at home. This dish comes with eggplant, red peppers, shrimp, onion and basil. It’s pretty delicious and there’s enough for me to have leftovers. Win-Win.

What can I say? I’ll be coming back. It’s a good place for a quick bite and makes eating out not a big deal. However, if you want something more authentic or if you are on vacation… I’d probably lead you to Chinatown or Oakland for a meal.
