Sunday #Quiche – Bacon, Broccoli and Pepper
It’s been awhile since I made a quiche but I had a packet of bacon and I thought why not?
This recipe is super easy and if you wanted to make this vegetarian you could just remove the bacon. Mind you… I think bacon is delicious and wonderful.
Sunday Quiche Recipe: Serves 4
6 slices of bacon (cooked)
1.5 cups of half & half
1.5 cups of shredded cheese
1 cup of green peppers
2 cups of broccoli
1 pie crust (room temp)
1 round tin for baking (8in)
1 large mixing bowl
pinch of salt / pepper to taste
Step 1 : Prep – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, make sure the pie crust is room temp, and cut & wash the vegetables into manageable bit size pieces
Step 2: Cook the bacon and chop into bite size pieces
Step 3: Crack the eggs into a bowl, pour the rest of the ingredients and then mix it all up
Step 4: Roll out pie crust into the tin and pour the mixture into it
Step 5: Bake it for 35 minutes until everything is cooked and smells lovely
I made my quiche with a simple salad (spinach, tomato, corn, strawberries) and iced mango tea. It was a lovely brunch meal at home. ^^
Then I proceeded to spend the rest of the day reading on my couch, happy and full.
